Another act of kindness by EKO Cyprus

At EKO Cyprus, voluntary blood donation is not just an act of love. It’s a responsible deed of kindness and solidarity, and that is why it holds a pivotal position in its CSR activities! Proof of that, is the voluntary blood donation in memory of a colleague who passed away, which was held on an initiative of EKO Cyprus, a 100% subsidiary of HELLENiQ ENERGY. EKO Cyprus recognizes the importance of selflessly donating blood and aims to raise awareness about regular blood donation.

On Friday 19 of July 2024, at EKO Cyprus’ headquarters in Nicosia, the response to the call was more than overwhelming and heart-warming. Members of EKO’s staff, station owners and partners dedicate a few minutes of their valuable time and became volunteer blood donors. The goal was to strengthen the Blood Bank and save lives, conveying the message that every effort of fortifying the blood reserves is invaluable!

After the conclusion of the voluntary blood donation, CEO of EKO Cyprus, Mr. Giorgos Grigoras, stated: «On behalf of EKO Cyprus, I congratulate each and every one who eagerly responded to the call of voluntary blood donation. This initiative, held in memory of a deceased colleague, reminds the society how important those selfless acts of kindness are. It’s everyone’s duty to cultivate a responsible stance towards our fellow human beings, who are struggling with long-term diseases or are facing unforeseen circumstances. I wish for the Blood Banks to be constantly sufficient, and I thank the people that accepted EKO Cyprus’ invitation, because they gave a gift of life by offering this precious “product” that can’t be artificially reproduced”.
