ΕΚΟ Cyprus: Proud Moments in ‘EKO Cyprus International Athletics Meeting’!




In the spirit of good sportsmanship and the values of classical sports, EKO Cyprus, being the Titular Sponsor of EKO Cyprus International Athletics Meeting, shared a lot of strong emotional moments in Limassol’s Tsireio Stadium.

On Friday, 17th of May 2024, track and field fans had the chance to witness and admire some of the greatest names of international track and field, and the top Cypriot athletes who excel every year in international sports meetings.

Miltiadis Tentoglou, Milan Trajkovic, Apostolos Perellis, Olivia and Filippa Fotopoulou, Natalia Christofi, Alexandros Poursanidis, Dafni Georgiou, Despina Charalambous and many more athletes gave their best efforts in an upgraded International Meeting that wrote its own history. The participants, world champions and renowned names at national and international levels, offered some high-quality spectacle that featured success, the values, and the principles of good sportsmanship.

The audience in attendance in Tsireio Stadium, where the heart of the game was beating, reached over 4000 people. Among the audience, some of the most prominent figures attended as well as the common fans of track and field.

EKO Cyprus applauded every effort and didn’t omit to congratulate the organizers and every participant for giving their best, whether they earned a place on the podium or not. It’s important to note that EKO Cyprus embraces athletics throughout the years and supports the initiatives that promote excellence and good sportsmanship, as part of its CSR strategy that is carried out on a yearly basis.

On behalf of EKO Cyprus, which was this year’s titular sponsor of EKO Cyprus International Athletics Meeting, the Senior Sales Manager Mr. Pavlos Stephanides and the head of the marketing department of EKO Cyprus Mrs. Marina Tziakouri awarded the medals for the events regarding the men’s 400 meters dash and the women’s long jump respectively.
