EKO Cyprus: Love Campaign for Children with Cancer and Leukemia

For the ninth consecutive year, EKO Cyprus is running a love campaign to support the “Elpida” foundation from May 27th to June 2nd. The goal is to offer support to children fighting cancer and leukemia, as well as their families. Employees at EKO’s service stations become the protagonists of this great endeavor, aiming to raise money through gas sales.

Specifically, EKO and the service station owners will donate a share of their sales revenue to the “Elpida” foundation, continuing a solidarity initiative that has become a tradition and demonstrates the tremendous capacity for love and humanity within Cypriot society. Throughout the campaign week, station employees will offer their services wearing t-shirts bearing the campaign’s main motto.

Mr. George Gregoras, CEO of EKO Cyprus, stated, “Through these actions, we become better people, precisely because we regard solidarity as one of the highest values of human co-existence,” and expressed confidence in the success of this year’s campaign. He further noted, “This week of love is not just another Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, but a tradition embraced by many, which motivates us to continue this effort with increased enthusiasm. We’re giving all our positive energy, and, through targeted initiatives, we want to improve the everyday lives of our fellow people, especially the children who need it most.”

EKO’s efforts to support the “Elpida” foundation in its fight against cancer and leukemia extend beyond this campaign. EKO Energy, a HELLENiQ ENERGY group company specializing in providing clean electricity from renewable sources, installed a solar panel system in the foundation’s guestrooms to meet its energy needs. This development significantly reduces energy costs and improves the foundation’s environmental impact.
