In this framework, EKO Cyprus, a 100% subsidiary of HELLENiQ ENERGY, made a strong impression by winning a Gold Award in the “Dynamic CSR Actions” category and four other important distinctions at the Boussias Cyprus’ “Cyprus Retail & Sales Awards 2023” award ceremony.
Of particular importance is the Gold Award, which was won in the category "Dynamic CSR Actions" for the action "Warm Embrace by EKO". "Warm Embrace" was an important EKO Cyprus’ initiative in this year's Corporate Social Responsibility actions program, within the framework of which initiatives are implemented that aim to improve the quality of life of people, especially vulnerable groups and children who need us all. It is worth noting that, through this effort, EKO Cyprus donated, for the second consecutive year, significant quantities of liters of heating oil to thirteen (13) charitable institutions in mountainous areas, as well as to Makarios Hospital, which is the only hospital in Cyprus that specializes in Pediatrics.
Specifically, EKO Cyprus won the following awards, Platinum Award for the 'EKO Smile Contest' in the category 'Advertising Campaign using multiple media/channels of communication’, Gold Award for the 'Warm Embrace by EKO' initiative in the 'Dynamic CSR Actions' category, Gold Award for the 'EKO Smile Contest' in the 'Digital Campaign' category, Gold Award for the 'EKO Smile Challenge Events' in the 'Direct/Experiential/Live Campaign' category, and Silver Award for the 'EKO Smile Contest' in the 'Outstanding Business Performance' category.
“Rewarding the Best in the Market”, the vibrant event took place at the Hilton Nicosia, and it has evolved into a recognized event that rewards the best practices, business excellence, intelligence and adaptability in the Cyprus retail and trade of products and services and in the supply chain in general.
Present at the 'Cyprus Retail & Sales Awards 2023' were the Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, Mr. George Papanastasiou, executives and management members of EKO Cyprus, representatives from the business and marketing communities, as well as distinguished guests.
Ms. Marina Tziakouri, Marketing Supervisor at EKO Cyprus stated, “Today’s awards honor the Company and each of us individually. For all of you who work in the field of marketing can understand the amount of work that is required, and the time that is needed to implement and promote such a successful campaign. I feel very proud that I am accepting these awards tonight, and I admit that the award I am most proud of is “Warm Embrace by EKO”. In the framework of the implementation of this action, EKO Cyprus donated over 500,000 liters of free heating fuel to vulnerable groups of the population. This proves in practice that EKO Cyprus recognizes society’s needs and generously returns part of their revenue, with actions that focus on people and improve their quality of life. Once again, this year, the 'Cyprus Retail & Sales Awards 2023', under the auspices of ECR Cyprus and the Association of Consumer Product Suppliers, spotlighted top performers in the expansive commercial sector. Product suppliers, service providers, as well as sales and marketing teams were also awarded.
