The 7th cycle of training seminars for motorcyclists in collaboration with EKO Cyprus and City's A.R

The 7th cycle of training seminars for motorcyclists in collaboration with EKO Cyprus and City's A.R.T. has started

In its 7th consecutive year, EKO Cyprus launches the latest series of training seminars for motorcyclists, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives alongside the EKO Safe Rider Club for the improvement of riders’ road safety and the decrease of road accidents.

EKO Cyprus, in collaboration with City's A.R.T., organized the seminars, which are under the auspices of the Cyprus Motorcyclists Federation (K.O.M.), according to the motorcycle training program of the Greek branch of California Superbike School for Greece and Cyprus. Certified instructors of City's A.R.T. train motorcycle drivers on technical training, safety and proper riding behavior. The programme is designed to instantly improve riding behaviour, to identify and correct common mistakes made by motorcycle riders, increase their active safety and train them to ride more safely.

A significant number of motorcyclists participated in the training seminars, which successfully took place on the 27th and 28th of April and on the 11th and 12th of May, 2024 at the Achna Speedway, in Dasaki Achna. This year witnessed the active involvement of military police personnel, national ambulance services, alongside a notably higher turnout of women motorcycle riders.

Attendees were given certificates of attendance and a draw of prizes, related to road safety, followed in front of all participants:

• HJC helmet (ten pieces per seminar)
• Nordcode gloves (ten sets per seminar)
• Protective suit (one per seminar)

In his statement after the completion of the seminars, Mr George Gregoras, CEO EKO Cyprus stated that "EKO Cyprus, in the framework of its Corporate Responsibility actions, has always set as its priority the contribution to the enhancement of road safety. I am particularly happy to see that the success of the training seminars organized by EKO Safe Rider Club in collaboration with City's A.R.T. for motorcycle riders is increasing every year. The ability of a motorcyclist to control the correct position and speed of their motorcycle requires a high level of driving ability, conscientiousness, constant concentration, anticipation and effective observation. The certified instructors from City’s A.R.T. offer their expertise to riders so they can improve their riding behavior and consequently act safely in order to reduce accidents. On behalf of EKO Cyprus, I am once again very pleased with the completion of the training seminars for this year.”
