EKO Cyprus, a 100% subsidiary of HELLENiQ ENERGY, received another honorary distinction during the 'Cyprus Responsible Business Awards 2023'.
The Company, which holds the first place in motor fuels by far and is constantly becoming a reference point for its notable CSR work, has won another excellent award for the “Warm Embrace by EKO” action in the “Society” category.
For the second consecutive year, the “Warm Embrace” action, which focused on the children, became an additional altruistic initiative within the framework of CSR action program of EKO Cyprus, which includes initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of people, particularly children and vulnerable groups of the population. Through this endeavor, EKO Cyprus donated significant quantities of liters of heating oil to thirteen (13) charitable institutions in mountainous areas, as well as to Makarios Hospital, the only hospital in Cyprus specializing in Pediatrics.
The ‘Cyprus Responsible Business Awards 2023’ event was held in Galu Seaside, in Larnaca. This year corporate responsibility was honored, and the actions of every corporation committed to the principles of responsible entrepreneurship and sustainable growth with a positive impact on society were highlighted. In attendance were the Deputy Minister of State Mrs. Eirini Piki, representatives of the business world, marketing executives, as well as honored guests.
